Membership for 2012
To join Wimborne
Orienteers please download the membership form from the
British
Orienteering Website,
complete and return it to British Orienteeing, ticking the box for
National
membership and specifying 'Wimborne
Orienteers' as your club
Membership includes a payment to the Southwest
Orienteering Association (SWOA) and to Wimborne Orienteers (WIM).
The total for 2012 is as follows:

Wimborne Orienteers
Membership Note – 'National Membership'
You
will
see
from
the
notes
on
our
website
that
the
club
only
offers 'National Membership'.
The reason for this is that as a 'National' member
you may take part in any event in any part of the UK at a reduced rate fee.
'Local membership' only allows you a reduced rate within your region, in our
case the SW. The reduced rate is always £2 less per adult per event.
Wimborne
is
located
adjacent
to
a
regional
boundary
and
most
members
frequently
take
part
in
events
run
by
clubs
in
the
South
Central
and
South
East
areas
and
as
'Local'
members
would
be
paying
a
premium
at
every
event.
As
a
result
of
this
situation
the
club
decided
not
to offer 'Local Membership' status which means that all members of Wimborne
Orienteers are 'Full National Members' of British Orienteering. Please make sure
that you tick the box which says 'National'
on the membership application form.
