Next WIM events

	The Thursday Community Orienteering Evenings are suspended during the winter months. Instead we will be using the Saturday informals as training/coaching sessions for orienteers of all standards. Newcomers are always welcome at these events.
Training	WSX will continue to provide a weekly training run session at Bournemouth University on Tuesdays – meet at the University Sports Centre at 5.45pm ready to run at 6pm.

04 Feb	Latest news from Sarum - In view of the current forecast for the weekend (cold & dry on Sat am, filthy cold & wet evening & night, possibly with snow, then dry again on Sunday) the Dorset Schools League event at Stonedown Wood is still ON but the Night event following it has been Cancelled

05 Feb	Regional event - Wool Heath Pre-enter on Fabian4 Flyer Final Details Pre-entries are now closed. Maps for all courses still available. Weather forecast for Sunday in Dorset currently OK (touch wood!)

WIM O-tops At long last we have available further supplies of the new style WIM tops. They are available from Barbara Warren and she will be bringing samples in various sizes to the events shown above.

Permanent Orienteering course, MTBO and Permanent Trail-O courses

All of these courses at Moors Valley Country Park are available for use. The club received grants from the National Lottery for the permanent course and from BOF for the Trail-O course. Maps for both courses, are available from the Visitor Centre. The courses are checked for completeness frequently and the map updated on a regular basis

Child protection

At the September 2004 WIM Committee meeting, it was recorded in the minutes that the club had adopted the BOF Child Protection Policy. Wimborne Orienteers is intent that children and vulnerable adults will find orienteering a safe environment in which to have fun, learn and develop. The Club will do this by adopting and promoting the British Orienteering Federation Policy on Protecting Young and Vulnerable People.
