British Championships weekend  May 1st/2nd
Not many club members ventured up to Cannock Chase for the British Championships weekend. Most successful was Dick Keighley, who won the Paralympic class in the British Trail-O Championships and was 3rd overall.
Dick has been selected for the British Trail-O team for the European Championships in Sweden and the World Trail-O Championships in  Trondheim, Norway, both in early August.

Child protection

At the September 2004 WIM Committee meeting, it was recorded in the minutes that the club had adopted the BOF Child Protection Policy. Wimborne Orienteers is intent that children and vulnerable adults will find orienteering a safe environment in which to have fun, learn and develop. The Club will do this by adopting and promoting the British Orienteering Federation Policy on Protecting Young and Vulnerable People.
