Thirty enthusiastic youngsters (with some supporting parents!) had a go at some orienteering in Dorchester Borough Gardens on Saturday, as part of the "LoveParks" promotion week.

 

The idea was put forward by the Town Council's Head Gardener, Charlie Rugeroni (a former member of WSX) who contacted Di Tilsley. A map was drawn & courses planned, and Di, with help from local club members Mike Kite, Tamsin Horsler & Lynsey Melhuish, offered some basic skills coaching & then the chance to have a go at several short courses. Two students from Weymouth College (Liv Parker & Kyall Wylie) came with Lynsey and played a vital role in safeguarding the SI equipment, in a very public place!
