Membership for 2016
British Orienteeringchanged its membership structure in 2013, with membership fees being drastically reduced over previous years. However to balance this, the levy which is paid at each event has been increased to a flat £1 per person (3 juniors = 1 senior). The SWOA membership fee was abolished, but the SWOA levy also increases.
To join Wimborne Orienteers please download the membership form from the British Orienteering Website, complete and return it to British Orienteeing, ticking the box for National membership or Local memberships and specifying 'Wimborne Orienteers' as your club. Membership includes a payment to Wimborne Orienteers (WIM). The total for 2016 is as follows:
British Orienteering | SWOA | WIM | Total | |
Senior | £5 | - | £5 | £10 |
Junior (M2/W 20 and under) | £2 | - | £1 | £3 |
Local membership | - | - | £5 senior,£1 junior |
Wimborne Orienteers
Membership Note: At the
2012 AGM, members voted to allow the club to offer either National or Local
membership - previously WIM did not off local membership.
As a
'National' member you may take part in any event in any part of the UK at a
reduced rate fee. 'Local membership' only allows you a reduced rate within your
region, in our case the SW. The reduced rate is always £ 2 less per adult per event.

the

suggests that most members join us as National members,
particularly as membership is now so inexpensive.. Please make sure
that you tick the correct box

We suggest that you opt for Local membership only if you are a recreational orienteer and unlikely to be competing in many events away from our home base.
