British MTBO Championships 2009
Long Race Wareham Forest & Gore Heath 13/06/09
Box 562 (62 in splits) went down mid-way through the event. All affected competitors punched their maps to prove they had visited the control, and showed them to the results team. I haven't yet had time to examine the log file for the box. I'm assuming it was a battery failure and although it is our policy to replace any batteries in the older BSF4/6 type control units when they reach 70% used, it seems that this particular box's batteries failed before its due time. Apologies .
